How did you get over a breakup after six years together?

We ended things a month ago and it was mutual, which somehow makes it worse. I keep reaching for my phone to tell her things. People say time — I want to know what you actually did with that time.

How did you start enjoying life again after feeling depressed for months?

It's been about seven months where nothing really lands. I still work, I still text people back, but the part of me that used to look forward to things is just gone. I'm not looking for a cure — I'd like to hear from people who came out the other side and what the first sign of life felt like.
